‘Operation Sindoor Still On’: Western Command Chief Sends Stern Warning to Pakistan

On Saturday, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Command Lieutenant General Manoj Katiyar clearly said that if Pakistan or its supported terrorist organizations attack again, India's response will be even more strict than before. He said that Operation Sindoor is still going on and the Indian Army is fully prepared. This statement was given during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the victory of the 1965 Indo-Pak war.

Lieutenant General Katiyar said that Operation Sindoor was not only a military action, but was also a part of preparation against every possible conspiracy of Pakistan. On May 7, Indian forces carried out missile attacks in the early hours on 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This included Jaish-e-Mohammed's stronghold in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.

This action was taken in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, in which 26 people lost their lives. After the Indian Army's retaliation, Pakistan fired and attacked in the border areas for three days, but the Indian Army gave it a befitting reply by targeting even its airbase. The situation calmed down after the ceasefire on May 10.

Katiyar said that we do not trust Pakistan. It may carry out a terrorist attack again. In such a situation, our response will be stricter. He said that our Operation Sindoor is continuing, and if needed, the enemy will be answered in its own language.

Katiyar said that the Pahalgam attack was not only to spoil the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, but also aimed at creating communal tension in India. This is a big challenge for us. He said that Pakistan constantly tries to weaken India's secularism, but the Indian army and the people together will foil it.

Katiyar said that from the 1965 war we learnt that technology is important, but the soldier who operates the machine matters more than the machine. Pakistan had better tanks and aircraft, but the courage of the Indian soldiers brought victory. He said that the role of drones will be even bigger in future wars and the army is also developing technology for this at the domestic level.
