India-Pakistan Tensions: Anil Chauhan Says Pakistan May Show Overconfidence After Security Pact

Just about a month after the signing of the security pact by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, former CDS Anil Chauhan remarked that such a security pact may lead to overconfidence in Pakistan. The consequences are bound to be evident from its future actions. As a result, India needs to remain alert to Pakistan and the terrorists it sponsors.
While delivering a speech on threats and challenges faced by India's security, CDS Anil Chauhan, who once headed the three armed forces, revealed that Pakistan would pose a huge challenge to India in the coming times.
According to CDS Chauhan, Operation Sindoor, the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, and some other measures had kindled the hope that Pakistan would change its approach. But the recently signed security pact has brought about overconfidence in Pakistan, and adverse consequences would follow in the coming days. Therefore, we will need to remain vigilant.
