As April begins, there will be a change in the weather pattern in North and West India. This week, two major western disturbances are going to cause rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail in nearly half the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance would remain active in the coming days. The weather could experience a dry period of two to three days, followed by two to three days of rainfall.

According to meteorologists, the first Western Disturbance is currently active, affecting Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, as well as Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan.

This continued activity from the Western Disturbance keeps causing moisture in the Himalayas and therefore leads to weather fluctuations in North India.

It has also been observed that rainfall has taken place in Pakistan and its surrounding regions due to this system, which means that it remains active.

Rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is likely to occur across a large area on Saturday. Heavy rain and hailstorms are also possible at some places in the Kashmir Valley.

A second western disturbance will become active around April 7-8. Its influence will again change the weather in northwest India. Rain accompanied by thunderstorms is likely in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. Rain accompanied by strong winds may also occur in many parts of Rajasthan.

During this period, temperatures are likely to remain below or near normal. The intensity of the heat will remain subdued for the time being. However, a break will be observed on April 5, when cool and dry winds will blow across North and West India.

This will lead to clearer weather and a slight drop in temperatures. The impact of this system will also be evident in Central India. Thunderstorms and rain are expected in most parts of Madhya Pradesh. Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue in Maharashtra from Vidarbha to the Konkan region.

Delhi began Friday morning with thunderstorms and clouds. Temperatures remained above normal, but the maximum temperature is expected to remain moderate due to clouds and rain.
