Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Teased in India: 10,000mAh Battery, 120Hz AMOLED Display and 100W Charging

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has been teased in India as Xiaomi gears up for its imminent launch in the country. No official launch date has been released so far by the company, making it difficult to predict the launch date in India for the device. This model was launched in certain global markets in the month of August with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, and a battery of 10,000mAh capacity. 

Redmi India has teased the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G phone in a tweet on X. There is also a landing page for the phone available on the Xiaomi India website. However, no date of the launch in India has been shared so far by the company. Although no details have been shared about the Indian model, it is expected to have many features similar to the global version.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G was introduced in certain global markets in the month of August with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The device is equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage capacity running on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

In terms of cameras, the global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video at 30fps. The phone is powered by a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired charging support and comes with IP66 and IP68 ratings. It also supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.

In Japan, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts at JPY 79,980 (approximately Rs. 47,900) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 8GB + 512GB model is priced at JPY 99,980 (approximately Rs. 59,900). It comes in Black, Cloudbrush and Purple colour options.
