Sabalenka beats Mira Andreeva 6-1, 6-2 in third consecutive quarterfinal Australia Open 2025

World number one Aryna Sabalenka made her third consecutive Australian Open quarterfinal on Sunday as she defeated Mira Andreeva 6-1, 6-2. The victory marked Sabalenka's 18th straight Australian Open win. Her winning streak at Melbourne Park moves her level with Victoria Azarenka for most Australian Open wins this decade. She is seeking a third consecutive Australian Open title.
The two-time defending champion, a set down against Andreeva in their only previous meeting at Roland Garros last year, broke the 17-year-old four times and didn't lose her own serve in that stretch to take a 4-1 lead in the overall head-to-head.
Making the most of bright conditions under the afternoon sun at Rod Laver Arena, Sabalenka struck 15 winners against 11 unforced errors and three aces, according to the WTA.
