Sennheiser launches the Momentum 5 Wireless and Momentum True Wireless 5 headphones in India to add to its premium range of wireless audio products. The Momentum 5 Wireless includes 42mm drivers, adaptive ANC, and battery life of up to 57 hours, whereas the Momentum True Wireless 5 has 7mm drivers, adaptive ANC, and battery life of up to 40 hours. Both come with Dolby Atmos head tracking and have replaceable batteries.
The Sennheiser Momentum 5 Wireless costs ₹39,990 in India, and the Momentum True Wireless 5 costs ₹29,990. The headphones are now available for pre-orders on the official website, online platforms, and offline retail stores. Regular availability starts from October 1st.
Along with the above deals, those pre-ordering also receive a free Sennheiser BTD 600 Bluetooth USB dongle valued at ₹5,990 with some added benefits depending upon the platform they purchase.
Both the Momentum 5 Wireless and Momentum True Wireless 5 come with denim and lavender coloring options. The Momentum 5 Wireless over-ear also comes in black coloring, with more colorings such as white and bronze to be available soon. The Momentum True Wireless 5 is also available in graphite and cream shades.
The Momentum 5 Wireless features 42mm dynamic drivers inspired by Sennheiser's HD 600 series. They support Hi-Res Audio, Snapdragon Sound, aptX Lossless, and Dolby Atmos with interactive head tracking. These headphones use an eight-microphone hybrid adaptive ANC system, which Sennheiser claims suppresses three times more midrange noise than the Momentum 4.
For calls, the headphones use four microphones on each side, while beamforming and noise-reduction technology help improve voice clarity. They support Bluetooth 5.4 and codecs like SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Lossless, and aptX Adaptive. Sennheiser also plans to add a gaming mode through an upcoming firmware update.
The Momentum 5 Wireless packs a 700mAh replaceable lithium-ion battery. Sennheiser claims up to 57 hours of playback with ANC on, while a 10-minute charge provides up to 7 hours of playback. The headphones also support firmware updates for DSP and wireless systems.
The headphones support the Smart Control Plus app on iOS and Android, which offers an eight-band equalizer and sound personalization features. They also feature user-replaceable ear pads and come with USB-C and 3.5mm audio cables. The redesigned carrying case is 20 percent flatter, while the company has reduced overall packaging by 16 percent.
The Momentum True Wireless 5 features Sennheiser's 7mm TrueResponse dynamic drivers and supports 24-bit/96kHz audio via aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. Dolby Atmos adds head-tracked spatial audio, while Hybrid Adaptive ANC automatically adjusts to ambient noise and wind. Users can also switch to Natural Transparency mode to hear ambient sounds without removing the earbuds.
Sennheiser has integrated four microphones, including bone-conduction microphones, in each earbud. AI-powered speech extraction and beamforming help reduce background noise. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0 and multipoint, while the Smart Control Plus app offers an eight-band equalizer and sound personalization features.
Sennheiser claims up to 12 hours of battery life with ANC off and up to 6 hours with ANC on. The charging case extends the total playback time to 40 hours. Both the earbuds and case have replaceable lithium-ion batteries, while the case supports USB-C and Qi wireless charging. An eight-minute charge is claimed to provide up to one hour of music playback.
Sennheiser has given the Momentum True Wireless 5 a fin-free, aerodynamic design, with each earbud weighing 7 grams. These earbuds come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, while the new case has a slimmer profile. The box includes silicone ear adapters in XS, S, M, and L sizes and a battery replacement tool.
