Who Is Pralhad Joshi? Senior BJP Leader Given Charge of Education Ministry Following Dharmendra Pradhan's Exit
The central government has entrusted senior Karnataka BJP leader Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi with the additional responsibility of the Union Ministry of Education. Pralhad Joshi is a seasoned BJP MP and a trusted cabinet colleague of Prime Minister Modi.

Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his position as Education Minister amidst protests by students all over the country. While this has been happening, the central government has decided to hand over the Education Ministry to Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi who is one of the senior BJP leaders in Karnataka.
Pralhad Joshi is a BJP member of parliament and a close associate of PM Modi in the cabinet. He has been elected as an MP for many terms running consecutively from Dharwad, Karnataka. He has also served as president of BJP in Karnataka. He has also served as the president of the BJP's Karnataka unit and played a pivotal role in expanding the party's footprint in the state.
According to a notification from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President, acting on the advice of the Prime Minister, has accepted Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and assigned the additional charge of the Education Ministry to Pralhad Joshi. Joshi will now handle the Education Ministry alongside his existing ministerial portfolios.
