On Tuesday, Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the Indian Army said that based on posthumous awards given by the Pakistan Army, it can be concluded that over 100 enemy soldiers were killed along the Line of Control during Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan released this list on August 14. The DGMO also said that Pakistan lost 12 fighter aircraft in the military conflict that took place in May. He said that through Operation Sindoor, India achieved its political and military objectives of punishing Pakistan for cross-border terrorism. At the Conference of Heads of State Parties to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission (UNTCC), Lieutenant General Ghai detailed the military conflict that took place between May 7 and 10.

He said that as soon as India attacked nine bases across the border on May 7, Pakistan began shelling. "It took only 88 hours to bring the enemy to their knees," he said. "We went after the terrorists, and once this objective was achieved, we had no intention of escalating the operation unless forced to." On May 9 and 10, the Indian Air Force targeted 11 Pakistani air bases.

Eight Pakistani air bases, three hangars, and four radars were destroyed. Lieutenant General Ghai said that during Operation Sindoor, one C-130 aircraft, one AWACS, and four to five Pakistani fighter jets were destroyed. He said that we now know that the longest surface-to-air attack in the world was carried out from a distance of more than 300 kilometers and involved the downing of five advanced fighter aircraft.

Pahalgam terrorists killed in 96 days. Lieutenant General Ghai said that the three terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack were killed in June, and our operation continued until they were found. It took a total of 96 days, but we did not let the terrorists rest in peace. The terrorists were exhausted from running, and their bodies indicated malnutrition. He said that questions may arise as to where the terrorists disappeared after the incident, but finding them was like finding a needle in a haystack. He said that everyone knew that a response to the Pahalgam attack was inevitable.
