Toyota Hilux Black Edition: Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Hilux Black Edition in India.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Toyota Hilux Black Edition in India. It has been launched at around Rs 38 lakh ex-showroom. Cosmetic updates have been brought in in this pick-up truck, but it has not been changed in terms of engine and mechanicals. Hilux has already been a popular pick-up truck in domestic and overseas markets, and now Toyota wants to entice more buyers with Black Edition. It was initially unveiled at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025.
If you consider its power plant, then Hilux Black Edition has a 2.8-liter diesel power plant, which delivers a power value of more than 200 bhp and a torque value of 500 Nm with an automatic transmission. However, with a manual transmission, it delivers a torque value of 420 Nm. This pick-up truck also has a drivetrain with a 4x4 system, electronic differential lock, and automatic limited-slip differential, giving it a smoother experience in off-road drives.
Toyota has constructed the Hilux Black Edition on its IMV platform. Based on a robust ladder-frame structure. The same platform has been utilized in Innova Crysta and Fortuner.
Many design upgrades have been done in the Hilux Black Edition, making it look more powerful and sporty. In this new edition, the front radiator grille, bumper, fender garnish, fuel lid garnish, ORVM cover, and door handles have been completely blacked out. Apart from this, the alloy wheels and hubs are also finished in black, giving it a premium and bold appeal.
Many premium features are available in the Hilux Black Edition. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features like cruise control, 8-way powered seat, auto-dimming IRVM, automatic headlamps, push-button for engine start/stop, and dual-zone climate control have also been included in it. Which makes the driving experience even more wonderful.
Hilux Black Edition is much better in terms of safety. It has modern safety features like 7 airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera, which make it safer.
