New books for class 3rd and 6th will be published in the market on this day, NCERT made major changes
NCERT has currently released the e-version of new textbooks of four subjects including Class 3 Mathematics. These textbooks are named after Indian musical instruments. Among these, there are names like Veena, Santoor, Sitar and Bansuri. On the cover pages of these books prepared for schools, aspects that increase the pride of the country including Chandrayaan have also been given place.

The new textbooks that will be taught in schools starting with the upcoming academic year will be entirely coloured in Indian colours in addition to being engaging for the students. E-versions of the most recent textbooks for four subjects—including mathematics for class three—have been made available by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
Indian musical instruments are the names of these textbooks. Names like Bansuri, Sitar, Santoor, and Veena are among them. Aspects that boost national pride, such as Chandrayaan and the Agni missile, have also been featured on the cover pages of these books written for schools.
NCERT has released new books for the four subjects of class 3, which include textbooks of Mathematics, Hindi, English and Urdu. The remaining books of this class including Art and Physical Education will also be released within the next ten days. During this time, Hindi books were given names like Veena, English books were given names like Santoor, Urdu books have been given names like Sitar and Art Education books were given names like Flute. NCERT claims that the new textbooks of class 6 are also almost ready. These will also be released soon.
By May 15, all the textbooks of classes 3rd and 6th will be printed. All these new textbooks for classes 3rd and 6th have been prepared as per the recommendations of the new National Education Policy. This year, from the new academic session, a target has been set to prepare textbooks for the first class of preparatory, middle and secondary levels of schools. Under this, textbooks for classes 3rd and 6th have been prepared.
However, the textbooks for class nine have not been ready this year. It is believed that this will take more time. It may take another year or so. Under the new National Curriculum Framework of schools, books for the next classes of all these levels i.e. fourth, fifth, and seventh classes will come in the next year i.e. 2025-26 academic session.
Students of classes III and VI in schools will have to undergo a bridge course before they start reading the new textbooks from the new academic session. NCERT has prepared and released this bridge course. The third class bridge course will be for about one week, while the sixth class bridge course will be for about one month.
During this period, the students will be given the necessary studies to prepare them according to the new syllabus from the old syllabus. According to NCERT, selected teachers associated with Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and CBSE schools will also be given a bridge course and training related to teaching the new curriculum on April 15 and 16.
NCERT Director Professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani said, 'New textbooks will be taught in classes 3 and 6 from the new academic session. Preparations for this have been made. Four books of class 3 have been released. Books for class six will also be released soon. All new books will be printed by May 15. Before this, schools have been asked to teach bridge courses. Parents are requested not to be hasty in purchasing books, nor to buy the wrong books.
