The Airtel network went down again in India. This time, customers in large cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Surat, and Ahmedabad were forced to experience a massive problem of signal and internet connectivity (Airtel network outage in India). According to Downdetector, a website that tracks technical problems, the problem with the Airtel network was at its peak around 12:15 pm. During this time, about 7,109 users complained of an outage. It was clearly seen in the live map of Downdetector that Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata were the most affected (Airtel internet down). According to Airtel Cares, this problem appears to be due to a temporary connectivity disruption. The company said the problem is expected to be fixed within an hour.

The Airtel Cares message read, "We apologize for the inconvenience. The problem you are experiencing appears to be due to a temporary connectivity disruption and is expected to be fixed within an hour. After the time has passed, please restart your mobile phone to restore services. Thank you."

DownDetector showed an improvement in outage reports after 1 pm. However, there were still more than 150 reports of outages from users around 4 pm.
