National, 21st June 2025: ZEE5, a platform known for championing stories with heart and soul, has unveiled the trailer of Kaalidhar Laapata — its latest offering that promises to strike an emotional chord with audiences everywhere. This poignant dramedy, produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment and directed by Madhumita, features Abhishek Bachchan in one of his most vulnerable and layered performances to date, alongside the remarkable child actor Daivik Bhagela.
Set to premiere on ZEE5 on 4th July, Kaalidhar Laapata tells the story of a man society has written off — and his quiet rebellion against invisibility. Kaalidhar (Abhishek Bachchan), discarded by his family and battling memory loss, decides to carve out his own fate when he uncovers his siblings’ plan to abandon him during the Maha Kumbh Mela. His unexpected partner on this path of rediscovery? Ballu (Daivik Bhagela), an orphaned 8-year-old with grit, wit, and a heart that has learned to survive the harshest realities of life.
