Amit Shah's Schedule in Vadnagar

In Vadnagar, Shah's programme will begin at 8:15 am with a Maha Aarti at Sharmishtha Lake, followed by a padayatra, preparations for the flag-off of the Seva Yatra, and the launch of a cleanliness campaign at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and other party leaders are expected to be present through these proceedings.

Broader Themes Woven Into the Campaign

The BJP's Gujarat unit said the campaign would incorporate tree plantation drives, cleanliness initiatives, the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, the TB Mukt Bharat campaign, and water-conservation awareness activities. The yatras will also include interactions with beneficiaries of government schemes, young people, and beneficiaries of women's empowerment programmes, alongside felicitations for sanitation workers, extending the campaign's reach beyond the bike rallies themselves into broader community engagement.

Preparatory Sub-Yatras Already Underway

Ahead of Thursday's main launch, four preparatory sub-yatras have already been travelling toward Vadnagar from different parts of Gujarat since September 13, starting from Somnath in Saurashtra, Shamlaji in north Gujarat, Pavagadh in central Gujarat, and Unai Mataji in south Gujarat.

The Symbolism of the Jal Kalash Rath

Party leaders said water collected from rivers, lakes, wells and other water sources along these preparatory routes would be brought to Vadnagar in a 'Jal Kalash Rath'. At Vadnagar, water from Sharmishtha Lake will be added to this collection ahead of a Jalabhishek at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple. The Jal Kalash will then travel onward toward Varanasi, gathering further water along the route for a concluding Jalabhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. According to party leaders, water from the Narmada, Sabarmati, Mahi, Gomti, Vishwamitri, Tapi, Banas, Shetrunji, Aji and Pamba rivers would form part of this symbolic collection, linking river systems across multiple states into a single unifying ritual tied to the campaign.

Amit Shah's Later Engagements in Ahmedabad

Following the Vadnagar programme, Shah is scheduled to travel to Ahmedabad. At 5:15 pm, he will offer prayers at the Shri Jagannath Temple in the Jamalpur area, followed by an appearance at the 'Aashirwad No Deewo' programme at the Kankaria Lake premises at 5:45 pm. He is further scheduled to attend the Ganesh Mahotsav organised by the Sardar Patel Seva Dal at Sardar Patel Chowk in Vastrapur at 7 pm, rounding out a packed schedule spanning religious, cultural and political engagements across the day.
