Ellenabad: A health check-up camp was organised by the Health Department at the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Ellenabad on Tuesday under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long campaign being run by the BJP to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public service.

Senior BJP leader Amir Chand Mehta inaugurated the camp as chief guest by cutting a ribbon. Hospital in-charge Dr Inderjeet Sharma, Dr Harpreet Kaur, Dr Ranbir Singh, Dr Suresh Godara, pharmacist Sajan Kumar and staff welcomed the guests.

Speaking at the event, Mehta said health camps and welfare programmes are being organised under the campaign, with the aim of taking quality healthcare to the most needy and to people at the last rung of society. He said the camps provide specialist consultations and free medicines locally, close to people's homes, and appealed to residents to take part in such camps in large numbers.
