The Board of Control for Cricket in India conducted a review meet in Guwahati on Monday, where they analyzed the performance of the Indian women's cricket team recently. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Vice-Captain Smriti Mandhana, and Head Coach Amol Mazumdar attended the review meet, which was chaired by BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia. The captaincy of the team was also up for discussion.
After the dismal show of the Indian team in the Women's T20 World Cup, questions arose about the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. But, afterwards, the Indian team put up a great show, and Harmanpreet replied to all those criticizing her. Indian women's team won two consecutive tournaments and redeemed their performance in the Women's T20 World Cup held in England last month. India first won the Women's Asia Cup in the UAE and then the gold medal in the Asian Games in Japan.
