TCS Launches Chiplet-Based Engineering Service to Boost India’s Semiconductor Mission
Semiconductor: India's largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has taken a big step in the semiconductor sector. The company has launched a chiplet-based system engineering service, which aims to accelerate chip design and innovation.
On Thursday, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of a chiplet-based system engineering service. The aim is to accelerate semiconductor companies and help them make powerful chips. This will also strengthen the vision of making India a global semiconductor hub.
India's semiconductor market is growing rapidly. While its size is estimated to be $ 45-50 billion in the year 2024-25, it is estimated to reach $ 100-110 billion by 2030. In this direction, the government has also taken a big step and approved the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) of Rs 76,000 crore.
Chiplets are small integrated circuits that can be combined to form an advanced chip. As the traditional technology of miniaturizing transistors is reaching its limit, the demand for chiplets is increasing rapidly. With this new design method, companies can connect different chiplets as needed. This not only reduces the cost, but also increases the speed of bringing the new product to the market manifold.
