IND vs AUS: Shubman Gill won't hesitate to do this, says this about Virat and Rohit before the series
IND vs AUS 1st ODI: The first match of the ODI series between India and Australia will be played in Perth. Before the match, Team India captain Shubman Gill made a big statement about Rohit and Virat Kohli.
The India vs Australia ODI series will start on October 19th. Gill will captain the ODI squad during the tour of Australia. The skipper said he grew up idolizing Kohli and Rohit. Shubman Gill is captaining a side that has past captains such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. This is being used as a stepping stone in the buildup towards the 2027 ODI World Cup. Yet Gill has made it clear that his equation with the two senior players has not altered.
"I think the story outside is different, but nothing has changed between us. Everything is the same. It's very helpful. Whatever they feel, their experience, whatever they've learned, whether it's reading the pitch or dealing with any situation, I go to them and ask what they think. If they were in my place, how would they do it? Then, I make a decision based on my understanding of the game. I like to hear people's opinions," Captain Gill said ahead of the ODI cricket match to be played in Perth.
He said, "Whenever I have any doubts about anything, I go to them. I seek their suggestions. I seek their advice. They never hesitate to tell me anything. I believe this is the true treasure of experience. These are the players I idolized as a child. Their hunger inspired me. It is a great honor for me to lead such cricket legends. I am sure there will be many moments in this series where I will be able to learn from them. If I find myself in a difficult situation, I will not hesitate to seek their advice."

Gill said, "I have had many discussions with both Rohit and Virat on how to lead the team forward. I believe these lessons and experiences will help our team move forward."
