Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is currently working on a mid-life facelift of the Alcazar. After redesigning its best-selling SUV Creta, the company will now update its 7-seater sibling and add many new features. This has been spotted again during testing.

The design of the Alcazar facelift will be inspired by the Creta, but we can see some differences compared to the Creta. Such as a new pattern for the front grille which seems a little bigger and there may be some changes in the DRL. Additionally, a new set of alloy wheels can also be seen in the latest spy shots and they appear to be 18-inch units. The testing prototype can also be seen sporting an ADAS radar, confirming that the facelift model will get a Level-2 ADAS suite.

Inside the cabin, the new dashboard of the Creta facelift is likely to be carried forward with the updated Alcazar. Also, new features like a dual 10.25-inch display, dual-zone climate control system, ventilated seats, and panoramic sunroof will be available on board. Additionally, the color theme and upholstery will provide a fresh appeal. However, the cabin space and seating layout will remain the same.

The Alcazar facelift will continue to offer the same engine choices. Its well-known 1.5-liter CRDI diesel engine generates a peak torque of 250 Nm and a horsepower of 115. The Alcazar will still be powered by this powertrain, which is matched with a 6-speed torque converter automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the package will include a 1.5-liter tGDi petrol engine with 158 horsepower and a peak torque of 253 Nm.
