Humanoid Robot: Railways gave jobs to humanoid robots, humans are not needed in maintenance work

There has been a long discussion about robots that they can replace humans, but this is not the whole truth. Robots can never completely replace humans, but by using robots in some work, work can be made easier and the risk to humans can be reduced. For example, humanoid robots can be used in heavy machinery. It has started from Japan.

West Japan Railway (West JR), one of the six companies that make up the Japan Railway Group, has demonstrated a giant "humanoid robot" that will be used to maintain heavy machinery on its lines.

The new robot is part of a partnership between IT and electrical infrastructure company Nippon Signal Company and robotics technology developer Jinki Ittai Company. Starting this month, this humanoid robot will be installed on a truck. This truck will be able to run on rail tracks and this robot will do the work of network maintenance within the track and the company.

A human will control this robot by sitting in the cockpit of the truck. This robot is quite huge and has many cameras installed with the help of which it works. This robot can be controlled remotely. Cameras are also installed in the eyes of the robot.

According to the company, the main work of the robot will be to paint the metal frames supporting the wires above the trains and to cut the tree branches falling on the railway tracks. Company President Kazuki Hasegawa said in the press conference that in the future we hope to use machines for all types of maintenance work of our infrastructure.
