Former Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid's son Samit has been creating buzz in domestic cricket with his performance. However, he has not got any buyer in Karnataka's T20 league. The fourth season of Karnataka's Maharaj Trophy was auctioned on Tuesday where Samit did not get any buyer. Devdutt Padikkal, who has played for India, was the most expensive player in the auction.

Padikkal was purchased by Hubli Tigers for 13.20 lakhs. Abhinav Manohar and Manish Pandey also made plenty of money. Hubli recruited Abhinav for Rs 12.2 lakhs and Pandey was purchased by Mysore Warriors for the same price. From the bowlers, Shivamogga Lions recruited Vidwath Kevarappa for Rs 10.80 lakhs.

Samit Dravid was a part of the league last season, but this time he was left out. He was placed in the C category of junior cricketers in this season's auction. However, later when the list of players bought by all the teams came out, Samit's name was not in it. This clearly means that Samit will not be seen playing in this league to be played between 11 and 27 August.

Last season he was a part of Mysore Warriors, which paid a price of Rs 50,000 for him. He batted in the middle order in seven innings. His performance was not very special. Only 82 runs came from his bat, which he scored at a strike rate of 114. He was selected in the Indian Under-19 team that toured Australia, but was ruled out due to a knee injury.

Another big name in domestic cricket, Gautam, has been signed by Mysore. They have paid Rs 4.40 lakh for this all-rounder. While Shreyas Gopal has been bought by Mangaluru Dragons for Rs 8.60 lakh. Teams can still add two players to their team and only after that the team will be complete.
