The Delhi Capitals were unable to secure their third consecutive victory in the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in an encounter played on Wednesday evening. In the 14th match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, DC suffered a one-run defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans. GT chose to bat first following the toss and scored 210/4 in their allotted twenty overs. The Delhi side required 2 runs off the final two deliveries but David Miller failed to get off the mark, and Kuldeep was dismissed via a run-out in the subsequent delivery.

After the match, Axar Patel said, "Obviously, the way we're playing, I think both teams played some really good cricket. I think in a close match like this, you can point fingers at anything. So, I think we played very well. We could have played more intelligently during the chase. If the wickets hadn't fallen at crucial times, we could have finished the chase much earlier."

Praising KL Rahul's batting, Axar said, "He played a very good innings. If you look at the way the powerplay was going, he maintained the momentum. Even when wickets were falling, he maintained the momentum from one end. He didn't let the run-rate drop. So, I think it was very good batting. I think we're playing good cricket, and we'll finish it in the next match."
