The government has already announced that the electricity bill will be less from April 1. The new rates have come into effect from today. There will be a reduction of one rupee per unit in electricity rates for all domestic consumers, which will give them relief from the huge electricity bill in the scorching heat. Apart from domestic consumers, agricultural, industrial, and commercial tariffs have also been reduced by 25 paise per unit. Let us tell you that this was a promise made in the budget which the government has fulfilled.
