Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric India Launch on November 4: 715km Range, 94kWh Battery and 330kW Charging
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric: Mercedes-Benz will launch its new electric SUV, the GLC, in India on November 4, 2026, with a claimed range of up to 715 km on a single charge.
Mercedes-Benz will unveil the GLC Electric in India on November 4, 2026, while bookings will commence from the first week of October. This SUV will be manufactured locally at the Chakan manufacturing plant located in the city of Pune. In India, the GLC Electric will be available in the GLC 400 4MATIC specification that comes in the standard-wheelbase format.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the GLC Electric will be the fastest globally assembled vehicle in India, being launched in the Indian market after only six months since its sales commenced in Europe. The GLC is the top-selling vehicle by Mercedes on a global scale.
The wheelbase of the electric GLC is 2,972mm, which is 84mm more compared to the petrol GLC due to the dedicated architecture of the latter. Despite the fact that Mercedes launched a long-wheelbase variant of the GLC Electric for markets like China, initially India will have the standard-wheelbase GLC Electric. The boot space capacity of the GLC Electric is 570 liters, increasing up to 1,740 liters when folding the rear seats.
