Bajaj Auto has filed a new trademark in India called Vector, which could be a future electric scooter from the two-wheeler maker. The domestic two-wheeler manufacturer has not said anything officially, but it is expected that Bajaj and Husqvarna may together introduce this electric car.
Vector of Bajaj Auto
Husqvarna unveiled a concept scooter a few years ago, which was named Vector. The Husqvarna Vektorr concept caught the world's attention with its unique design. Now, with the trademark filing of Bajaj Vector, it seems that the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer might be working on a new electric scooter.
Although filing a trademark for a name does not guarantee a production model with the same name, there is certainly a possibility that Bajaj is working on a sportier version of its Chetak electric scooter and recently revealed one such e-scooter. Was also seen during testing.
New variant of Bajaj Chetak
The Indian electric two-wheeler market is growing rapidly and many EV startups are introducing their respective models in this segment in the form of scooters and motorcycles. With increasing demand and competition, older players are also aiming to capture a larger share of the emerging electric two-wheeler market.
Despite launching the Chetak electric scooter, Bajaj Auto has yet to find success in the Indian EV market, which is dominated by brands like Ola Electric and Ather Energy. Now it is quite possible that Bajaj is attempting to relaunch itself in the electric two-wheeler market and the Vector could be its next step in that strategy.
