The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined Vision IAS (Ajay Vision Education Pvt. Ltd.) ₹1.1 million for publishing deceptive ads on its website about the 2022 and 2023 UPSC Civil Services Exam results. CCPA Commissioner and Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare explained that the website claimed that in CSE-2023, 79 students were in the top 10 and 79 in the top 100, while in CSE-2022, 39 students were in the top 50, with photos and names of successful candidates. This suggested all these toppers were from the institute's full courses, but many were in test series or shorter programs.

The institute listed Shubham Kumar (UPSC CSE-2020 topper) as attending the GS Foundation Batch (Classroom Student), but hid the courses of other top candidates. The CCPA found that the institute claimed over 119 successful students in UPSC CSE-2022 and 2023, but only three enrolled in the Foundation Course.

Through the National Consumer Helpline, ₹42.6 crore was refunded to consumers across 30 regions from April to December, avoiding many court cases. Union Consumer Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi noted that over 63,800 refunds were processed, more than 1.4 lakh consumer cases resolved in 2025, with over 90,000 hearings via video conferencing. The CCPA issued more than 450 notices and fined over ₹2.13 crore for misleading ads and unfair digital practices.
