As per available information, it is fitted with a 10.2" infotainment system. It comes fitted with a digital instrument cluster, C-shaped AC vents, leatherette seats, automatic climate control, a toggle switch, and a rotary dial.
According to Jagran, the company can give a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine in this vehicle like other cars. Apart from this, a turbo engine option can also be available in it. Due to this the manual variant of the SUV will get 190 Newton meter torque with a power of 110 PS. At the same time, the variant with a six-speed automatic transmission can get 110 PS of power and 205 Newton meters of torque.
Citroen's Basalt SUV will be the fourth product to be offered by the company in the Indian market. Which can be positioned between C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross. Currently, C5 Aircross is offered in the Indian market with ICE along with C3 and C3 Aircross. Apart from this, the company also offers eC3 in the electric segment.
Citroen's Basalt will be launched in the Coupe SUV segment in the Indian market. At present, no company offers a vehicle in this segment. But Tata will launch Curvv on August 7. In such a situation, Citroen Basalt will compete directly with Tata Curvv.
According to the Jagran, the SUV will be launched on August 2, 2024, and its price will be accurately informed at the time of launch. But it is expected that the company can launch this SUV at an ex-showroom price of Rs 10 to 14 lakh.
