Tata Nexon EV again got 5-star safety score in India NCAP, turned out to be steely
Recently Tata Nexon EV has been updated with a bigger battery pack, 45 kWh. Now this version has been crash tested in the India NCAP. This version has also achieved a 5-star safety rating in the car crash test. It gets features like six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera with ISOFIX child seat anchorage for the safety of passengers.

Recently, the Tata Nexon EV has received an upgrade with a larger battery. Alongside, there is another update in this. Now it has received a rating of 5-star safety rating. India NCAP has declared that the new long-range has received full safety ratings like the earlier one. Along with that, there is no shift in its rating.
The new Tata Nexon EV is rated at 29.86 points out of 32 in adult passenger protection. It has scored 14.26 points out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. It has scored 15.60 points out of 16 in the side deformable barrier test.
The head, neck, pelvis, and legs and thighs of the driver have received good protection in the frontal offset deformable barrier test of the new Nexon EV. Then the driver's chest and tibia have received an 'adequate' rating. The head, neck, chest, pelvis, thighs, and left tibia of the co-passenger have received good protection. In its side pole test, all components of the driver have received good protection. At the same time, the chest area has received adequate protection in the side movable deformable barrier test. At the same time, the rest of the body has received a good safety rating.
The new Tata Nexon EV has got 44.95 points out of 49 in the child occupant protection test. At the same time, it has got 23.95 points out of 24 in dynamic score, 12 out of 12 points in child restraint system (CRS) installation score, and 9 out of 13 points in vehicle evaluation score.
The new Nexon EV variant has scored 23.95 points out of 24 in the dynamic test using the child restraint system. For the side protection of an 18-month-old child and a 3-year-old child dummy, the dynamic score is 4 out of 4. At the same time, the front protection of an 18-month-old child got 7.95 points out of 8 and the 3-year-old child dummy got full points in its test.
It has excellent safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, front and rear parking sensors as well as tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for the safety of the passenger.
The new Tata Nexon EV is offered with two battery packs 30 kWh and 45 kWh. It has recently been updated with a 45 kWh battery pack. It comes with an electric motor, which generates 145 PS of power and 215 Nm of torque. Its battery gives a range of up to 489 km after full charge.
Tata Nexon EV is offered in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 17.19 lakh. In India, it competes with Mahindra XUV400 and MG Windsor EV.
