In the latest ranking, the two have 44,192 points, while last week their ranking in the world was 39th with 33,692 points.
Treesa-Jayatri defeated the fourth seeded Chinese pair of Jia Yi Fan and Zhang Shu Jian in the quarter-final round. They won in a convincing manner and despite being down in the first game, came back to win 16-21, 21-15, 21-13. They have kept alive India's record of winning at least one medal at Worlds since 2011.
