Nissan has unveiled its new Micra EV worldwide. It was launched as an all-electric vehicle in early 2025. It is the 6th-generation Micra, based on the AMPR Small platform. The same architecture is being used for the Renault 5 EV as well.

It is based on the design of the Nissan 20-23 EV concept. It is less than 4 meters in length. It features circular daytime running lights and rectangular headlights. There is a black roof and gloss-black body cladding, along with 18-inch alloy wheels having silver inserts, column-mounted rear door handles, and circular tail-lamps.

The interior of the new Micra electric vehicle is chic and contemporary. It features two 10.1-inch displays, an infotainment screen, and a driver screen. Its center console is angled slightly towards the driver, hence extremely convenient for use while in the driving seat. It comes with physical buttons and air vents underneath it.

It has 48 colors of ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, an electronic parking brake, 326 liters of boot space, special upholstery on the seats, and Mount Fuji design in the storage area, which shows Nissan's Japanese identity.

The new Nissan Micra EV will be brought with two battery options, which are 40 kWh and 52 kWh. Its 40 kWh battery pack will generate 122 hp power and 225 Nm torque. It will give a driving range of up to 308 km on a single charge.

Its 52 kWh battery pack will generate 150 hp power and 245 Nm torque. It will give a driving range of up to 408 km on a single charge. Both variants will get the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, which can be used to charge other devices. It will also get a heat pump and battery temperature control system, which increases the life of the battery.

The new Nissan Micra EV will be produced at the Renault Douai plant in France. It will be launched in Europe by the end of 2025. There is no confirmed information about its launch in India.
