New Delhi, August 17 — Large crowds of devotees gathered at Shiva temples across Delhi and neighbouring areas on the third Monday of Sawan, which coincided with Nag Panchami. Devotees arrived early in the morning to offer prayers, perform Jalabhishek and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
At the ancient Gauri Shankar Temple in Chandni Chowk, a steady flow of devotees marked the auspicious Monday of the Sawan month along with Nag Panchami.
A devotee at the temple said: “It feels really good to be here. Today is also Nag Panchami, and this is a very ancient temple. We are very happy to have come here and offer prayers.”
