Monsoon rains caused major damage in Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Over 300 deaths occurred in the hilly states of Himachal and Uttarakhand in accidents caused by heavy rains. Incidents of cloudburst were reported in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. According to the latest update of the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has started returning. The southwest monsoon has started retreating from northwest India. However, torrential rains are still continuing in many parts of the country. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert (IMD Alert) for some states, including UP and Bihar.

The Meteorological Center in Patna has issued a warning of heavy rain in 11 districts of Bihar today. Along with this, there is a possibility of wind blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department said that the period of rain and thunderstorms will continue for the next three to four days.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in East Champaran, West Champaran and Gopalganj today. There is also a possibility of rain in Saran, Siwan, Begusarai, Kishanganj, Samastipur, Jamui, Patna and Gayaji.
