India-UK Defence Partnership Gets Boost as CDS Anil Chauhan Holds Key Talks in London

General Anil Chauhan, who serves as the highest-ranking officer in India's defense, is making an important and unprecedented trip to the UK. It marks the first-ever visit by an Indian Chief of Defence Staff to the UK. The purpose of his visit is to enhance defense cooperation between both nations and develop strategies for future warfare.
He emphasized the importance of innovation and intersectoral collaboration in ensuring preparedness in the future. During his stay in London, he met with the UK's Defence Secretary Luke Pollard and the Indo-Pacific Minister of State Seema Malhotra.
The discussion revolved around advancing their joint security cooperation in line with the India-UK Defence Industrial Roadmap and Vision 2035. According to Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, both countries placed special emphasis on technological innovation, industrial collaboration, and information resilience in the defence sector.
