Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Delhi Capitals, IPL 2026: Every year, RCB plays a match wearing green jerseys. This is part of their 'Green Initiative', which has been going on for years. This jersey is made from recycled fabric. RCB is the only T20 team in the world that is completely carbon neutral.
Match number 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will witness the clash between the defending champions of IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Delhi Capitals (DC). The match will commence at 3:30 pm at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In the coming match, RCB will don green-colored jerseys.
RCB dons green colored jersey in one game every year. This is because of the "Green Initiative" launched by them many years ago. It is made out of reused and recycled materials. RCB is the only T20 side that has achieved carbon neutrality status.
The launch date of the initiative goes back to 2011. Till today, RCB follows this tradition religiously. Their next aim would be to achieve carbon positivity. Franchise CEO Rajesh Menon said, "Achieving carbon neutral status as a T20 franchise is the culmination of years of hard work. The green jersey reflects this vision, and we want it to inspire our fans and partners to live responsibly."
