MG Majestor Expected to Get 8-Speed Automatic Transmission

MG Motors deals with multiple segments of vehicles across India. The company is gearing up for the launch of its new SUV, MG Majestor. Automaker MG is preparing to launch the MG Majestor as its new SUV soon. According to reports, this SUV is undergoing testing ahead of its launch, during which it has been spotted.

The manufacturer is testing the SUV’s limits before it hits the market. During this period, the SUV was completely camouflaged and was being tested for its capability in off-road driving.

Information regarding the SUV's engine has not been provided by the manufacturer as of now, though it is assumed that it will be equipped with petrol as well as diesel engines. Power output will be 184 kW, and torque output will be 410 Nm with a petrol engine, whereas a turbodiesel will have a power output of 160 kW with a torque output of 500 Nm. Both engines will also offer 4X4 capability. The petrol engine can reach a top speed of 190 kmph, while the diesel variant can reach a top speed of 175 kmph. It is expected to be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
