Mumbai: Tips Films Limited is making a strategic return to film distribution with its in-house production Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, a high-energy romantic comedy that reunites director David Dhawan with his son and lead actor Varun Dhawan.

The film, also starring Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, is positioned as a wholesome family entertainer blending comedy, romance, and mass appeal—hallmarks of David Dhawan's signature style. Producer Ramesh Taurani, Managing Director of Tips Films, confirmed the company's renewed focus on distribution, leveraging its established pan-India network to ensure wide theatrical reach across multiplexes and single-screen theatres in smaller towns.

Producer Ramesh Taurani addressed the change in a statement: “We would like to clarify that our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was originally scheduled for release on 5th June, a date we had announced several months ago.” The one-week shift reflects industry coordination while preserving the film’s prime pre-summer positioning for optimal audience turnout.
