Jaipur: Ordinary stones, often overlooked in daily life, came alive with profound emotions at Rajkumar Gupta’s pebble art exhibition held at the historic Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. The two-day show, which concluded recently, left a lasting impression on art lovers and tourists alike by turning simple pebbles into vibrant narratives of love, motherhood, and human sensitivity.
The exhibition, hosted in the Exhibition Hall at Hawa Mahal, featured more than 40 meticulously crafted pebble artworks. From morning 10 AM to evening 6 PM, visitors streamed in to witness how the artist had breathed life into these humble stones using colours and delicate brushwork. What struck everyone was the remarkable realism and emotional depth — many found it hard to believe at first glance that the pieces were created entirely from pebbles.
Rajkumar Gupta, a legal professional by training, has pursued pebble art as a passionate medium of expression for several years. According to him, every stone carries within it an unspoken story and feeling; the artist’s role is simply to recognise and reveal it. This philosophy shone brightly through the displayed works.
