According to the Jagran, Mahindra was testing its new electric SUV Mahindra XUV 700 EV. After this, it is believed that the company can soon present this electric SUV in the Indian market.
Information about some of the features of Mahindra's new electric SUV, caught red-handed in testing, has emerged. According to the reports, it can be given a new front in which a closed grille will be given. Along with this, newly designed lights can be given to give novelty. The side profile of the EV will be similar to the ICE version, but its design will be better than the current SUV. Three screens can be given in the interior, which will be on the entire dashboard.
Aside from that, it is designed to support ADAS systems above Level 2. Interestingly, according to recent information, Mahindra can provide an 80-kWh battery in it. This allows the SUV to travel up to 500 kilometres on a single charge. According to reports, it may be equipped with a twin motor AWD system. This can be charged from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes using a fast charger.
Presently, it is being tested by Mahindra only. The company has not made any official information public as yet with regards to the launch of the SUV. However, it is believed that it can be introduced in BHARAT MOBILITY to be held in January 2025. Sales of the SUV can also be started some time after that. Currently, only one SUV Mahindra XUV 400 is being offered in the electric portfolio of the company-Mahindra EV SUV in India.
