According to reports, the updated version of Mahindra Thar features many changes. It can have a new exterior and interior inspired by Mahindra Thar Roxx. In addition, it can have many new features that are currently being added to Thar Roxx.

According to reports, no changes will be made in the engine of the SUV. In this, transmission options will be given along with the existing engine options. Currently, this SUV is offered with 1.5 liter turbo diesel, 2.2 liter M Hawk turbo diesel and two liter turbo petrol engine options.

It has not been formally informed by the manufacturer yet. But it is expected that with the update, the ex-showroom price of Mahindra Thar can be increased marginally. Currently, the ex-showroom price of the SUV starts at Rs 11.50 lakh and the ex-showroom price of its top variant is up to Rs 17.62 lakh.

Mahindra has not yet formally made public the information about launching the updated version of this SUV. But it is expected that it can be launched in the next few months.

Mahindra offers the three-door Thar in the SUV segment. It competes directly with Force Gurkha. But in terms of price also, it gets challenged by SUVs like Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Jimny.
