New Delhi, May 27, 2025 : The Indo-Uzbek Education & Business Summit 2025, held at Hotel Pride Plaza, Aerocity, New Delhi, marked a significant step in advancing collaboration between India and Uzbekistan across education, business, healthcare, tourism, and culture.   Powered by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in India&organized by MD House, the forum brought together over 100 prominent guests, including university rectors, investors, senior officials, and business leaders from both nations.   Uzbekistan: A Leading Destination for Indian Medical Students In his keynote address, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan “His Excellency Mr. SardorRustambaev” highlighted Uzbekistan's growing appeal to Indian students, especially in the field of medical education. “Uzbekistan is a paradise for Indian students,” he stated, noting that over 10,000 Indian students are currently pursuing medical education in Uzbekistan. Uzbek medical universities offer: 6-year MD programs (including a 1-year internship) 100% English-medium instruction Clinical training in government hospitals Medical licensure upon completion   Academic Collaboration The forum featured prominent representatives from leading Uzbek universities, including: Samarkand State Medical University Bukhara State Medical Institute Namangan Medical Institute Turon University Andijan State Medical Institute Journalism and Mass Communications University of Uzbekistan   The delegates presented their institutions’ offerings and expressed eagerness to welcome more Indian students for high-quality, globally aligned education. MoU for Academic Exchange MoUs for academic exchange were signed between leading universities, laying the foundation for collaborative research, student exchange, and joint training programs Business & Investment Opportunities Uzbekistan is emerging as a top investment destination for Indian entrepreneurs in sectors such as: Pharmaceuticals Agriculture and food processing Education and skill development Infrastructure, IT, and logistics   “We welcome Indian investors with open arms,” said Ambassador Rustambaev. “Our government supports direct collaboration in many sectors.”   Cultural & Tourism Ties The forum also celebrated the deep cultural ties and tourism potential between the two countries. Uzbekistan, rich in Silk Road heritage, is seeing increased interest from Indian travellers drawn to cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, known for their UNESCO sites, vibrant bazaars, and shared cultural traditions.   A Platform for Partnership The event served as a dynamic platform for multi-sector networking, featuring: University and business presentations Strategic collaborations Cultural dialogue and friendship-building   The Indo-Uzbek Education & Business Summit 2025 reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to strengthening partnerships in education, investment, and people-to-people engagement — reinforcing a shared vision of mutual growth and cultural harmony.   "Uzbekistan has emerged as a hub for quality medical education, offering Indian students a strong academic foundation combined with practical clinical training empowering them with the essential skills and global competencies required to become successful, compassionate doctors."
