Delhi became colder than Shimla, Friday was the coldest day of the season
Weather Update: Friday morning in Delhi was colder than Shimla and Dharamshala. The temperature was recorded at 4.9 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees less than Shimla.

There has been a continuous decline in temperature in Delhi for the last one week. The temperature in the national capital reached 4.9 degrees Celsius on Friday, which has been recorded for the first time this season. While the minimum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 6.8 degrees, which is 1.8 degrees more than Thursday. The temperature was 8.2 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala and 6.8 degrees Celsius in Dalhousie.
Earlier on Thursday, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 6.2 degrees Celsius. Whereas, if we talk about Wednesday, it was recorded at 7.4 degrees Celsius and on Tuesday it was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius.
If we talk about air quality in Delhi, the climate in the capital remained in the very poor category on Friday. The air quality index was recorded more than 250. Whereas in Anand Bihar, AQI was 475, which is an indication of the air reaching a dangerous category.
Apart from this, the Indian Meteorological Department said that continuous rain and snowfall in many states have dropped the temperature. IMD has reported that due to the cyclonic circulation, a cyclonic circulation is forming over UP and surrounding areas. Due to this, the Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Himalayan region significantly from December 16.
In its update regarding rain, the Meteorological Department said that there may be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu on 16 and 17 December. Apart from this, there is a rain alert in Kerala and Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 17th December. There are chances of rain in some districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the next 36 hours.
