Case registered against people involved in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, hence Assam Police itself took action
Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Several individuals connected to the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra are the subject of an Assam Police case. Mohan Lal Meena, the superintendent of police in Jorhat, stated that the police took this step on their initiative. The Bharat Jodo Yatra is allegedly being manipulated by the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP administration, according to Jairam Ramesh.
Today Jorhat Police of Assam has taken action against some people associated with the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Jorhat Superintendent of Police Mohan Lal Meena said that the police, taking suo motu cognizance, have registered a case against some people in connection with Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
A charge has been filed against a few yatra participants since the police were unaware of the initial route alteration of the present yatra spearheaded by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi travelled to Majuli, an island in Assam, on Friday, the sixth day of his visit, by boat across the Brahmaputra river. On Friday, the party released a picture of Rahul on a boat on the Brahmaputra with other Congress leaders and employees.
