The National Highways Authority of India has issued a very important alert to all those individuals and owners of vehicles regarding various scams that are currently ongoing regarding FASTag One-Year Passes. It has been seen that in recent times, there has been a very high rate of scams regarding fake sites and links. Scammers are claiming to sell "one-year annual passes" by claiming that they are authorized sellers of FASTag. As a result, not only are individuals losing money to the tune of 3,000 rupees, but they are also having their data stolen.

NHAI has stated that the only way to purchase an annual pass of the FASTag through an official medium is by downloading the mobile app named 'Rajmargyatra'. There isn't any other website, social media link, or even a messaging platform that has the authority to provide these passes. Officials have warned that sharing vehicle registration numbers, FASTag details, or payment information anywhere other than the 'Rajmargyatra' app could lead to fraud.

Fraudsters create fake links that appear genuine. Through these links, they trick users into entering vehicle registration, FASTag number, and banking information. Even after the money is deducted, no pass is generated, and data is stolen. NHAI has also warned users on the social media platform X not to click on any unknown links.
