Telegram is going to be banned soon in this country, major action can be taken regarding illegal content
Telegram Ban: Officials say that Telegram has neither cooperated in removing such content nor has it officially registered itself in Vietnam, which is mandatory under the country's law.

The Vietnam government is planning to ban the messaging app Telegram in Vietnam soon. The government claims, as seen in a report published in Bloomberg, that illegal content is being transmitted on Telegram and that it is not complying with local laws. The authorities claim that this site is being utilized for activities that are counter to the country's public order and national security.
The Vietnam Ministry of Public Security has insisted that numerous Telegram groups here have turned into hotbeds of "toxic" content. Such content includes anti-state content, fraudulence, drug trade, and even illegal data trading. Neither has Telegram complied in removing such content, nor has it registered itself officially in Vietnam, which is legally required under its laws.
Local telecom and internet service providers have been instructed to block Telegram, although Telegram and Vietnam's technology ministry have not yet officially commented on this.
Vietnam's one-party government has been increasing control over the internet and social media platforms for the past few years. Even though Facebook and YouTube are still available in the country, the government has taken a tough stand on dissent and unapproved content. In 2023, the government implemented a rule that required foreign social media companies to verify the identity of their users and give it to the government.
