Mumbai Indians will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad; This match is going to be full of excitement

In IPL 2025, hosts Mumbai Indians (MI) will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The two teams are currently at the bottom of points table after four defeats in six matches and both would wish to rectify this to some extent by doing well in this match. Here are some of the important statistics and match-ups of this match.

Left-handed opener Abhishek Sharma is returning from a century against Punjab Kings, in which his own team also secured an unlikely victory. Against Mumbai Indians, though, he might have to work hard, for he is disposed of twice by their fast bowling attack of Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Trent Boult. Except for his strike rate of 158 against Chahar, his strike rate in front of those other two is below 100. Against Jasprit Bumrah, in fact, he makes only very slow scoring, just at 59 in his strike rate.

Mohammed Shami's IPL this year has been very mixed. This match against the Mumbai Indians can also be mixed, because he has an excellent record against some of their batsmen, but some batsmen have also given him a tough time. Rohit Sharma has been out against Shami three times in the IPL, while Rohit is able to score runs against him at a strike rate of just 112. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik has also been out against him three times, although he scores runs against Shami at a strike rate of 180. However, Shami's strike rate against Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma is more than 200, which will be a matter of concern for him.
