Former cricketer Amit Mishra's model wife accuses him of domestic violence, demands compensation of Rs 1 crore in court

Former cricketer Amit Mishra's wife, Garima Tiwari, has registered a case against him, in which she has made serious allegations of dowry harassment and domestic violence. At the court's order, six individuals, including Amit Mishra, have been booked in a case. Garima has made her in-law Shashikant Mishra, mother Bina Mishra, sister Swati Mishra, brother Amar Mishra, sister Ritu Mishra, accused in this case along with her husband Amit Mishra. Garima has charged her in-laws with demanding Rs 10 lakh and an automobile as dowry. Along with this, she has prayed to the court to seek compensation worth Rs 1 crore.

Amit Mishra's wife, Garima Tiwari, filed a complaint of domestic violence and dowry harassment in the court of Judicial Magistrate Seventh. Garima Tiwari, a resident of Birhana Road, Kanpur, has made several serious allegations against her in-laws in court. Garima has also demanded the right to Stridhan and to live in a joint household. The court has issued a notice to Amit Mishra and his family in this matter. The next hearing in this case will now be held on May 26.

Garima told the court that the in-laws refused to send her away when their demand of Rs 10 lakh and a car in dowry was not met. After this, the sendoff was done only when Rs 2.5 lakh was given. Garima said that her husband, Amit Mishra, took her to his house in the RBI Colony of Tilak Nagar. Where people from the in-laws' side used to come and harass her every day.
