Security increased in Parliament House before the budget session, responsibility given to CISF
Budget 2024: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the required measures are being taken for robust and impenetrable security of the complex, concerning the security of the Parliament House in light of the Budget session 2024.

On Sunday, before the commencement of the 2024 Budget Session, Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, addressed the media. He stated that the required actions are being taken to ensure the complex has robust and impenetrable security during this, in regards to the security of Parliament House. He went on to say that the security plans will take into account both the members' safety and dignity. The 84th All India Presiding Officers Conference came to an end on Sunday after two days of proceedings that started on January 27 in Mumbai. The final speech was delivered by Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were among the attendees and speakers at the conference in addition to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. This conference was attended by 26 Presiding Officers from 18 States, including 16 Speakers of Legislative Assemblies from various States.
Following the incident involving the Lok Sabha's security lapse, the Home Ministry has given its approval for the deployment of 140 CISF officers to guard the Parliament ahead of the next budget session. CISF has been entrusted with the security of both the new and old Parliament buildings. The Parliament complex will also see the simultaneous deployment of the Delhi Police, Parliament Security Service, and Parliamentary Duty Group of the CRPF.
