Passenger's health deteriorated on a flight coming from Hyderabad, emergency landing had to be done in Chennai

A private flight with a departure in Hyderabad was compelled to make a forced landing in Chennai on Saturday. The decision was made in a health-related matter with a passenger on board. The health issue with the passenger was a reason cited by the city airport officials for a need in a forced landing.

He said that a male passenger on a flight to Chennai complained of uneasiness, after which the pilots started the emergency landing procedure. After landing, the medical team reached to see the passenger and he was being treated. However, he did not give more information about this.

He said that as per the protocol, no other flight was allowed to come and go for some time to give priority to the airline for emergency landing. Subsequent flight movements were also not affected.
