Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and CEO of NITI Aayog BVR Subrahmanyam had a crucial meeting on Tuesday to make the Indian Army more powerful. This meeting was organized in Delhi with civilian and military experts. The topic of using advanced technologies to make the Indian Army more powerful and modern in the days to come was discussed in this meeting. The motive of the meeting was to further enhance the preparation of the army towards 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Developed India 2047'.

The Indian Army shared pictures of the meeting on the social media platform X and gave information. There was a high-level discussion between the Indian Army and NITI Aayog regarding the use of advanced technologies. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and NITI Aayog CEO Shri BVR Subrahmanyam chaired the meeting.

The Indian Army said that the main topic of discussion was how to further enhance the strength of the army by adopting the country's domestic capabilities (indigenous technology), so that it can face every changing challenge. Along with this, the Army also said that the Indian Army has declared the year 2024 as the year of technology absorption. This year, the army is trying to incorporate many new and advanced technologies into its system.

Earlier, on 19 August 2024 last year, a meeting of the top leadership of the army was held in New Delhi. This meeting was the first major strategic meeting after General Dwivedi became the Army Chief. At that time also the focus of the discussion was also Amrit Kaal. Whose objective was to decide the future of the army and make India a developed and strong nation by 2047.

It is notable that during the 2024 conference, top military commanders had a shared vision to metamorphose the Indian Army into a technologically enabled, agile, adaptable, modern, and self-reliant force to safeguard the country's interests in multi-domain warfare situations. This meeting is an indication that the Indian Army is no longer preparing only for conventional wars, but is also constantly developing itself to deal with the complex technological challenges of the future.
