Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary on Saturday. The Defense Minister remembered former PM Vajpayee for his lifelong efforts to build a strong and prosperous India. Rajnath Singh said that the nation will always remember his unprecedented contribution.
At the same time, Union Ministers JP Nadda, Kiren Rijiju and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, along with JDU MP Sanjay Jha and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gathered at his memorial 'Sadaiv Atal' to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary.
It is worth noting that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and he was elected Prime Minister of the country thrice. Let us inform that Vajpayee was the face of BJP for decades and was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete a full term. Let us tell you that he died on August 16, 2018 at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi.
