HCLTech ties up with Google Cloud, Gemini AI will reach global companies

IT services company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) on Wednesday said it has expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to build enterprise solutions using the US tech giant's multimodal large language AI model, Gemini.

HCLTech said in a press release that it will familiarize and train its 25,000 engineers on Gemini for Google Cloud to help mutual customers innovate and customize their businesses with GenAI (Generative AI).

With this, HCLTech can offer the expertise and technical skill set that customers require to deploy and manage GenAI projects.

With Google Cloud's most recent GenAI technology, HCLTech will send out 25,000 engineers to support clients at different phases of their AI projects. This support will include the creation of new use cases and functionalities for HCLTech platforms and product offerings.

The company stated that providing GenAI capabilities to clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, and telecommunications sectors will be the primary focus at first.

HCLTech introduced the HCLTech AI Force recently. The planning, development, testing, and maintenance phases of the engineering life cycle are all optimised by this pre-built GenAI platform.

The Noida-headquartered IT services company will now enhance the HCLTech AI Force platform with Gemini's advanced code completion and summary capabilities. This in turn will allow engineers to generate code, resolve problems, and accelerate the delivery time and quality of software projects to customers.

The company said HCLTech will also use the Gemini model to expand its portfolio of industry solutions built from its dedicated Cloud Native Labs and AI Labs, which focus on accelerating client innovation and are staffed by leading AI experts and engineers. Are.
